Full-Service Interior Design
A comprehensive, design-led approach to renovation, new construction, and furnishing for homes with history and character-rich spaces.
Full-service interior design is a collaborative process that begins early and carries through to completion. Projects often start before or alongside an architect, with a focus on defining how the home should function and feel before moving into detailed design and execution.
For new builds, this means helping shape layout, flow, and overall direction from the earliest stages—ensuring the home feels intentional, cohesive, and considered from the outset.
I approach each project with an architectural lens, guiding decisions around space planning, proportion, and materiality while developing a cohesive design that supports daily life. Throughout the process, I work closely with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure that design intent, function, and execution remain aligned.
Phase 1
Discovery & Direction
Every project begins with a discovery call, followed by a paid consultation.
This is where we get to know your home, your goals, and how you want the space to function. We review existing conditions or early plans, discuss priorities, and begin shaping the overall direction of the project.
From there, a clear scope of work and proposal is developed.
Phase 2
Planning & Concept
We begin by focusing on layout, flow, and overall direction.
This phase establishes how the space works and how it should feel. For renovations, this may involve rethinking existing layouts; for new builds, it means defining spatial relationships from the outset.
Concept design is developed alongside this work, aligning layout, materials, and overall aesthetic into a cohesive vision.
Phase 4
Procurement & Implementation
For full-service projects, I manage the selection and procurement of furnishings, materials, and decorative elements.
This includes ordering, tracking, and coordinating deliveries to ensure everything arrives as intended and aligns with the overall design.
For virtual projects, a complete design plan and sourcing guidance are provided for you or your local team to implement.
Phase 3
Design Development
The design is fully developed and detailed.
All key elements are specified, including finishes, fixtures, lighting, and millwork direction. Drawings and schedules are created as needed, and coordination continues with your architect and contractor to ensure the design is cohesive and buildable.
Phase 5
Installation & Completion
The final phase brings everything together.
Furnishings are installed, layouts are refined, and the finishing layers are added to create a space that feels complete, considered, and ready to live in.
Each phase builds on the last, allowing decisions to be made thoughtfully and ensuring the final result feels cohesive, functional, and enduring.
